I can’t help but get into the Christmas spirit when I see all the adverts out right now.

Over the last few years the Sainsburys jingle gets me every time and is my little tune for the festive season.

Just seen the new John Lewis advert too which is very cute!

With the Christmas rush in full swing, a big thank you has to be said for the printers who always seem to turn a job around quickly!

Been a manic few weeks and deadlines are always being pushed but with a good printer onboard its good to see the job delivered on time!

Copy cat or copy can’t?

Sat here on a Sunday morning wondering what to blog about. It dawned on me that in today’s graphic and web design industry there’s a lot of copy cat designs and approach. Is this a bad thing? We’re looking at the brief and using material and resources that bring a more efficient and better final design. Is this a bad thing? Not if it’s done appropriately. Maybe the skill nowadays is how to make the most of the available resources and having a good vision to work towards.

Social Networking

OK, hands up – I do often get caught looking online and spending a bit more time than I should on Facebook.

Amazingly though, I uploaded a link to my freelance design site and half my friends didn’t know what I did for a living! Now is that because they are far too interested in my social life or we just don’t use social networking to our advantage!

Now they do know and its all about who you know… And what they do!
